Depending on the clock source, GPS synchronized current interrupters operate in two modes :GPS(Global Positioning Satellite/Timing System) synchronous clock and internal RTC(Real-time clock) clock. When operating in GPS synchronous timing mode, it is possible to realize synchronous timing on/off of multiple circuit breakers, which is very necessary in cathodic protection systems containing multiple rectifiers. For cathodic protection systems consisting of a single rectifier, the circuit breaker can be set to internal independent clock operation mode.
The working process of GPS synchronized current interrupter is as follows: when the time is set as the start time, the circuit breaker will cycle according to the set cycle T, at the start time of each cycle, disconnect the circuit to the start time, and then close the circuit to the close time, and cycle to the set stop time. Set the start/end of the date range by month and day, and the working time by hour and minute.

GPS synchronized current interrupters can be installed on the rectifier and connected to the power supply.The GPS synchronized current interrupter therefore interrupts both the DC output and the AC input of the rectifier.Notes to follow when installing interrupters:
- Before connecting the GPS synchronized current interrupter, turn off the rectifier's AC power supply.
- If you want to interrupt AC power supply, use two black plug connectors marked "AC" and use AC to interrupt the special cable.To avoid damage to the GPS synchronized current interrupter, never connect the AC power supply connector to the DC port;
- If the DC output of the rectifier is interrupted, use the red "+" and black "-" ports on the side of the GPS synchronized current interrupter and the special CABLE for DC interruption.To avoid damage, please do not connect the DC power supply to the AC connector.
- GPS synchronized current interrupters should be moisture-proof and rain-proof to ensure that the heat sink is not blocked. The interrupters should be placed where the air can flow so that it can dissipate heat.
- For safety reasons, please do not operate in a thunderstorm, so as not to cause damage to the GPS synchronous current interrupter and rectifier.
