Product Introduction

 

          When overvoltage occurs in the electrical system, the voltage across the spark gap rises. When the voltage reaches a certain value, the air in the gap is broken down, forming a conductive channel and generating a spark discharge. Through spark discharge, the energy of overvoltage is released, thereby limiting the amplitude of overvoltage and protecting electrical equipment from damage.

 

          Spark gap features a simple structure, low cost, rapid action, and can release the energy of overvoltage in a short time, providing quick and effective protection for electrical equipment.

 

  • Product feature:
  1. High conduction voltage does not affect routine monitoring of insulated joints.
  2. The residual pressure is far lower than the voltage withstand voltage value of the insulated joint.
  3. Good sealing and explosion-proof, it can be used directly in the ground without installing anti-explosion junction box and other advantages.
  4. The response speed is nanosecond with no continuous flow.
  5. The shell is made of corrosion-resistant insulation material, suitable for installation in different environments.

 

  • Installation and maintenance:
  1. The spark gap is installed between two independent grounding poles or between the equipment and the ground that needs protection. The connection bolt can be directly connected to the grounding bar.
  2. No maintenance is required for the spark gap.
