Electrolytic Cell

The electrolytic cell is the place where the electrolytic reaction of electrolytic chlorine production takes place. Direct current is applied to the electrolytic cell to decompose salt water (NaCl solution) into sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) and hydrogen (H₂). The hypochlorite group formed by electrolytic reaction is a strong oxidizing ion, which can destroy the biological protein tissue, thus playing the role of sterilization, disinfection and antifouling.

Product introduction

 

          Electrolytic chlorine systems for the on-site generation of hypochlorite solutions from seawater have demonstrated reliable, economical and maintenance-free operation in numerous installations around the world.

 

          An electrolytic cell consists of a modular or structured cell that is electrically and hydraulically combined in series and fastened together to form an electrode assembly that is placed in the body of a electrolytic cell.

 

          The unique feature of the electrode assembly is that it is easy to replace the Electrode pack installed in the electrolyzer body and can be inserted or removed from the electrolyzer body in a short time without the need for special tools or specialized mechanics.

 

          With the increasing of people's awareness of environmental protection, the technology of producing sodium hypochlorite by electrolysis of seawater has been rapidly developed and widely used.
