Correct use of rectifier

(1) The power circuits using silicon rectifiers are all negative grounded. The gong polarity of the Kunshan rectifier battery must be the same, otherwise, the battery will discharge through the diode, causing the diode to burn out immediately.

 (2) When the generator is working, do not check the silicon rectifier by fire test, otherwise the silicon diode will be easily damaged.

 (3) If the generator is not charging or the charging current is very small, the fault should be eliminated in time to see if one diode will be damaged and other diodes or generator windings will be damaged.

 (4) The rectifier is not allowed to work when the battery is removed for a long time or the battery is in poor contact. Because after the battery is removed, when the breaker contacts are disconnected, the low-voltage coil will generate a self-induced electromotive force of about 30ov, which can easily break down the rectifier.

 (5) The rectifier must be used in a well-ventilated condition, and the heat sink must be installed as required, and the surface of the rectifier must be kept clean.

 (6) When replacing a damaged silicon diode, the power of the soldering iron should not exceed 45w, and the soldering time should not be too long. If necessary, the diode lead should be clamped with a deterrent to dissipate heat, otherwise the diode will be damaged.

 (7) When replacing damaged silicon diodes with other types of silicon diodes, the rated rectified current and reverse working voltage cannot be lower than the original diode parameters.

 (8) Kunshan Rectifier Analysis When replacing the high-power diode of the three-phase full-wave bridge rectifier, the silicon-changing diode must have the same polarity as the original silicon diode. After the silicon diode is installed in the seat hole, it must be a tight fit, and should not be loose, so as to avoid bad contact with the seat hole, which will affect heat dissipation and burn out the silicon diode. If the seat hole is too loose, a copper skin of appropriate thickness can be used to pad around the silicon diode base. If it is too tight, use a dumpling knife to make the seat hole larger.

 Silicon diodes have the characteristic of unidirectional conduction, that is, when a certain voltage is applied to both ends of the silicon diode (the anode of the power supply is connected to the anode of the diode, and the power supply and cathode are connected to the cathode of the diode), the diode is turned on and current flows. On the contrary, the diode does not conduct and the cell current flows. People use this characteristic of diodes to make rectifiers. When an AC voltage is applied to the rectifier, only the positive half cycle of the alternating current is allowed to pass, and the negative half cycle does not pass, so the pulsating direct current is output at the negative end of the rectifier.
