          Thermit Welding is to leave the appropriate gap between the weldment joints assembled in a special casting, when the joints are preheated to a certain temperature, the use of high-temperature liquid metal formed by the reaction of the hot flux injected into the casting, so that the joint metal melting to achieve the welding method. Aluminum powder is often used as a hot agent, so it is also often called Thermit Welding. Mainly used for rail welding.

 

          Thermit Welding connection is a recognized method of connecting cathodic protection leads to pipes (steel or cast iron), tanks and structures.

 

  • Composed of:

① Thermit welding mold

Thermite welding molds are made of semi-permanent graphite molds and are used to secure the conductors to be welded.

② Welding metal

The welding metal is a mixture of copper oxide and aluminum.

③ The igniter.

④ Welding powder.
