During construction, the cathodic protection test device should be installed at the same time as other cathodic protection systems. When installing the test device, the position should be set along the direction of the protected pipeline, and the distance between the two adjacent test devices should be between 1 km and 3 km. If the pipeline passes through urban towns or industrial parks, the distance between adjacent test devices should not exceed 1 km. If the test is to areas affected by stray current interference, the distance between test devices should be appropriately encrypted. The test equipment is generally placed in the following environments: the protected pipeline and the AC or DC electrified railway crossing or parallel section; the place where the insulation joint is installed; the place where the grounding system is connected; the place where the metal sleeve is installed; the protected pipeline and other pipelines or structures Places where there are connections; places where auxiliary test strips and grounding devices are connected; places where the pipeline crosses with surrounding roads or dams; places that cross railways or flowing water; places adjacent to external metal structures, etc. When installing the test device, at least two cables are connected to the protected pipe, and the cables used should be distinguished by color or other signs, and the whole line should be unified.
