Potentiostat is the core equipment of applied current cathodic protection system to provide DC current to the surface of protected metal structures. On the whole, it is a negative feedback amplition-output system, which forms a closed-circuit regulation with the protected object. The potential of the protected object is measured through the reference electrode, which is used as the sampling signal to compare with the control signal, so as to realize the control and automatically adjust the output of the protection current, and realize the constant potential of the protected structure.
The technical requirements of the potentiostat: ① the rated output current and voltage of the power supply equipment are controlled in the actual demand of 1.2-1.5 times more suitable; (2) The insulation resistance of each input and output terminal of the power supply device to the housing should be no less than 10 ohms; (3) The input and output end of the power supply equipment should be installed with a suitable lightning protection unit, and meet the relevant requirements.
